Waterkotte’s “EcoTouch Ai1 Compact” ground source heat pump designed by industrialpartners already won the German Design Award in 2019. In 2020 Waterkotte can also look forward to receiving the German Design Award for the newly developed “EcoTouch Ai1 Air Bloc” air heat pump in the category “Excellent Product Design – Energy”.
Heat pumps are the more environmentally friendly alternative to conventional gas or oil heating systems and have become increasingly important in recent years. The low emission values and heating costs, as well as the longevity and fast amortisation motivate more and more people to switch to alternative energies.
But these heat pumps have had a problem until now. They were loud and looked not very nice. Industrialpartners is changing this and is convincing in the product development of the new air heat pump “EcoTouch Ai1 Air Bloc” with a clear and modern design. Furthermore, the housing dimensions of the heat pump have been optimised so that the product fits seamlessly into any living environment.
Efficiency at its best
Quiet operation of outdoor units plays a major role in development areas. When developing this product, the greatest priority was therefore to reduce noise emissions while maintaining high performance. Accordingly, a weatherproof housing with special sound insulation was selected for the outdoor unit. The noise emission in the new design has been considerably reduced. The “EcoTouch Ai1 Air Bloc” air heat pump is thus the quietest in its performance class.
